LFN Ribbons

Several months ago I made my way to Treadle Yard Goods in St. Paul, a fabric store I had heard about but never been to. It is a yummy store filled with all sorts of wonderful textile treats. Fortunately I had plenty of time to browse and got my fill of eye candy. One of the temptations, that I couldn't resist were some LFN ribbons by designer Laura Foster Nicholson. I knew I couldn't buy them all so I chose two, bluebirds and party cakes. I don't know what I am going to do with them just yet...sometimes things get too precious in my mind so I have a hard time actually cutting into a fabric, ribbon or even paper. I'll have to get over that, but until I do I will enjoy looking at my ribbons. Go to LFN textiles to see more gorgeous ribbons.

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!!! Today my sweetie and I celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary. I know it is a little hokey to get married on Valentine's Day but my esthetics didn't allow our wedding to be all full of hearts and cupids. It was actually quite simple with one attendant each, our friends Leslie and Rick. I told my friend Leslie to pick out something to wear that she liked in any color she wanted so she wasn't stuck spending a ton on some crazy looking gown. My pragmatic side usually rules.

My only hesitation in marrying John was the realization that we didn't like the same furniture...in fact at the time, it made me cry! Now that seems so funny, although we still don't like the same furniture. But, usually John lets me get my way. Smart man!
