|LOVE THAT WONKY STITCHING|
If you are looking for the Grow Your Blog post scroll down or go here.
Two weeks ago I posted about some squares to be stitched up for a stash busting project. So far there are 25 of them with concentric circles of assorted fabrics. In the past I have spent a lot of time and energy making things look perfect and being frustrated. In that frame of mind it is hard to be satisfied with anything so I chose another way. My work is still a bit tidy but the lines are a little wonky and the stitches uneven, but I like it. It is easier to work this way and I smile a lot more.
In my mind these are most fabulous roses.
I love these pieces. Thanks for helping me let go of the perfect straight line idea. Hope you are well.
This looks really very beautiful!I love redand blue!AriadnefromGreece!
I too am trying to let go of my need to make everything perfect, it's getting in the way of creativity and fun. The red squares are the bomb! I'm a new follower looking forward to more.
Sometimes there is perfection in imperfection!!
I love this piece, it is so fun.
Wow, I love your blog. beautiful! Jo
This is lovely. I have been thinking of breaking into my stash of fabric to work on a project and I may do something like this. To speak to the imperfectness, it makes me think of wabi sabi which is a Japanese term for the imperfectness of things.
Oh my goodness, these patterns remind me of the photos I posted on my blog today. Mine are water drops but your concentric circles are so similar. Rebecca
